It was my very great honor to work with Dan at B.U., though for far too short a time. He was a gentleman and a dear friend. I am sending brightest blessings and deepest sympathy to all of you who called him family. Those times he spoke of you to me, his strong love for you shone through.

What a great man Mr. Welch was. He was a great neighbor and always looked after the kids in the neighborhood. I learned last night he was the man that drove my mother to the hospital in his cruiser to deliver my brother and I. I used to mow his lawn during my high school days and will never forget how generous of a man he was. RIP Mr. Welch.....
