Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Welker and the
Welker Family:
I was a studemt of Mr. Welker at North Schuylkill HS (class of '73). He taught me Chemistry, Physics, and I was in his first ever Nuclear Science class. His enthusiasm, encourgement, and great teaching enabled my to acquire a Nuclear Engioneering Degree from Penn State followed by an Environmental Engineering Degree from the College of Santa Fe. With that education I have worked for over 25 years at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in...

Dear Jim, Mrs. Welker and the rest of the Welker gang--I am very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing--but having known all of you, especially you Jimbo--What a Well lived life your Dad led. Even now your dad lives on in the love, care, and support you all find in each other. Very few leave behind such loved and well cared for children who can now pass all that love, skill, and education on to the next generation. You are all in my prayers. Love Regina Reinhardt Govachini, and Dennis and...

I had Mr. Welker as my teacher for both chemistry and nuclear physics at NSHS. To this day I remember him as the best teacher I ever had. May he rest in peace and condolences to his family.

Mary,
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We will always treasure the time we spent talking and laughing with Dan while we were at Lourdes.
Our Love,
Mark and Barbara (Lucas) Chesnik

Mrs. Welker and family:

The year after I graduated from Lourdes, I wrote Mr. Welker a letter to thank him for having such high standards, encouraging me when I needed help and giving me a foundation I would never have had anywhere else. “The Welker Way” led me to my career. I will feel forever privileged to have known him. Can we really ever forget “Lord bless us in all of our daily endeavors”? Bittersweet.

Joe & Pam (Moleski – OLOL 1991) Nichols and family

It's so hard to sum up the man that my Dad was because he was so many things to so many people. I was priviledged to know him as a daughter, as a student, and a fellow parent.
As a daughter, he was demanding yet knew when I reached my limit. He encouraged and coached and cheered me on, even when my talents fell well short of his expectations. He helped me to do my best and that was his pride.
As a student, again, NOT so easy! He knew when I didn't study as long as I should (or...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Mary, Danny, Jim, Mary Jo, Mike, Steve,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this sad time.

I have many memories of being at your house in Lavelle. Raiding the tomato & peas in the huge garden.

Never knowing, that our great-grandparents were 1/2 brother & sister.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the entire Welker gang, I am so sorry to hear that Dan has left this earth. Summertime in Lavelle included big fun times in the Welker pool, playing on the great big front porch, tearing through the game closet, playing dress up with Mary's party frocks and Sugared Popcorn on movie night - ALWAYS with Mr. Dan smiling and encouraging more fun. The world has an empty spot without him, yet we all have a huge basket of fabulous memories, thanks to him.
Love,
"Chrissy"
