I remember Danny Wells many detailed columns growing up in WV. His insight was extremely detailed. As a sports fan, he willl be greatly missed.

I have known Danny since I worked as a copy boy and obit writer at the Gazette when I was 14. My most vivid memory of Danny from that time is that one evening when we were both working, he decided to chase me around the newsroom. While he was chasing me, I accidentally knocked over a container of industrial ammonia and the newsroom had to be evacuated. May Danny rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing.
