Dan and I attended grammar school and high school together. After high school we lost contact. But many years later, just a couple of years ago, we came across each other and were able to catch up and fill each other in on our lives, our children, work, hobbies, etc. I learned how happy Dan seemed and as I think of Dan today this gives me great solace knowing he lead a great life. I'm sorry to see a really nice guy pass.

My sincerest condolences to the Whalen family. Dan was a wonderful human being. I enjoyed reconnecting with him again at the Richmondtown reunions. I'm saddened by this terrible, and sudden loss.
