I live with Dan on Camac Street in Philly in the early 1970s and it was through conversations with him that I first hear the irritating truth of the buddhadharma. I -- being irritated to hear that life is suffering, that buddhanature is already complete within me and everyone -- argued with him about it, taking a sceptial view.
