Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to Dan´s family.Dan was instrumental in my development as a basketball official in the Colonial Conference and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference,I was able to officiate with Dan as an official in the ACC.Dan will be remembered as a titan of sports in the Roanoke Valley and I will certainly miss his friendship!RIP my friend!Sam Croft

Tried to make it to Roanoke to the service, but the weather cancelled by flights. Dan was such quality person who always looked for the best in everyone. I officiated football with Dan in the Southern Conference for a number of years, and he invited me to join the Big East Football staff when he became supervisor. He continued to push my football career and was instrumental in my being invited to join the NFL officiating staff. Dan was a great friend and mentor -- his leadership in...

My wife Lynn and I send our thoughts and prayers to the family of Dan and Nancy Wooldridge. Such special people who have left a large legacy. I knew Dan through sharing college basketball life for many years. I always appreciated his friendship. He was a consummate fellow basketball official, supervisor and just a genuinely great man. Thanks for the memories Dan. Sending our prayers and sympathy to the family.

Mr. Dan Woodbridge was my first basketball coach back in 1962. A great man.

Thank you Coach Wooldridge for the caring and teaching to all of us at the Old William Fleming High School Class of 1961. Whether "participant or spectator...involvement makes a difference."

In memory of a wonderful friend and great man.

Gerald & I first met Dan & Nancy back in the late '50's at Oakland Baptist Church where we were all attending. From that time to present we have been friends, serving our Lord together on various committees of the church. Dan & Gerald had a lot in common in the field of sports, playing softball together on Oakland's Team. Nancy & I served for many years on the Church History Committee. She edited, updated the history for Oakland's last anniversary. They invited us to the FCA meetings &...
