Danielle DIEZ Obituary
passed away unexpectedly Oct. 13, 2014. Born Nov. 30, 1986, she was 27. Her lasting legacy is with friends and family who found her sweet, vivacious, and always full of joy. A genial motherly presence to her younger cousins, Danielle was admired by her friends and family for her perseverance in life but loved for her constant warmth. Her laugh was disarming, her kindness contagious. The elder daughter of loving parents, Nelson and Sherry Diez, Danielle grew up in Tampa and graduated from Plant High School before attending Florida State University and the University of South Florida. She worked for years on the Yacht StarShip dinner cruise out of downtown Tampa and Clearwater. A trustworthy and empathetic woman, Danielle was a quintessential older sister, there for her younger sister, Kristen, or for anyone looking to share a drink or groove at a concert. She was a compassionate listener and a calming voice.
Danielle was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Nelson and Vera Guerriere. She is survived by her parents, Nelson and Sherry; her sister, Kristen; her grandparents, Albert and Yvonne Diez and Lee and Reva Nichols; her uncles, Dr. Randall Diez (Lori), Eddie Stoltz (Danielle) and Kyle Parks; her aunts, Cherie Diez and Theresa Keesling; her cousins, Randy, Mickey, and Alexis Diez, Brittani and Cameron Stoltz and Tyler, Miles, and Albert Parks; and close family friend, Bill Capkovic (Lynn). She is also survived by her beloved pets, her ferret, Lucy, and cat, Louie, named for King Louis in Disneys The Jungle Book.
A celebration of Danielles life will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Carrollwood Village Golf and Country Club in Tampa. In lieu of flowers, Danielles family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. So dont you think twice about where we are tonight, sings Ben Nichols of Danielles favorite band, Lucero, in the song Mom. No matter how far from home, well be back along.
