Not sure what to say?

Dannie was my neighbor growing up. I only saw this in the Roanoke College magazine today. Most of our neighbors are now gone. I remember that you were studying psychology at college and then you moved away and I didn't see you again. I hope that you achieved all of your goals in life.

Miss Kain was instrumental in my recovery while I was incarcerated at Riverside Regional jail. I spent just over a year and a half in her groups and with her as my counselor. She was a wonderful, sweet woman, who stayed in touch with me all these years, overall a decade, after my release. About a year ago I had a lengthy phone conversation with her for almost 2 hours and we reminisced and she gave me more experience, strength and hope to guide me in my continued sobriety. I sure will miss her.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I WORKED AT PEOPLES DRUG STORE, ARBOR ROOM WAITRESS IN ROANOKE, VA; IN 1963_1965, YOUR GRANDMOTHER AND AUNT RAN A DANCE STUDIO THERE, I REMEMBER dannie coming in the drug store every day for a coke shake or something. Dannie was one of the sweetiest girls I ever met. She was good at listening, always seemed to care for people. Dannie was a friend, I am so sorry to hear of Dannis passing, she made the world a better place, Barbara Hall

I spent some wonderful Christmas dinners with Dannie and her wonderful sense of humour and perspective on life made those times so special, plus she gave me one of the best Christmas gifts I ever received: a back scratcher.

My Dear Dannie. You brightened my life with your love and your wonderful sense of humor. I remember us doing a mountain of dishes together after Thanksgiving dinner. We would stand together at the sink and talk and laugh about life. The knowing look you would give me like you knew exactly what I was thinking. There´s no one like you Dannie. You have a precious spirit I hope to meet up with again some day. Love you always.

Farewell to a beautiful soul. I will miss our conversations, especially our comic strip discussions. I will also miss the look on your face and the way you would rub your forehead and grin at me when I'd tell you to have a super sparkly day as cheerful as I could possibly say it. You have made a difference in many lives, including mine. You will be missed by all of us.
