Chambers Funeral Homes - Cleveland Obituary

DANNY ALVIN CHAPPELL passed away peacefully with family around him after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Michelle (Gerrick) Chappell, his sons Danny and Ryan, two grandsons Ronin and Nolan Chappell, sisters Tammy Borden, Barbara Ehlert and husband Paul, and Deborah Lanham, his brother Donald Hamilton and wife Tammy, his niece Autumn Hamilton and nephew Justin Huffman, step-father Donald Hamilton and his mother Deloris Hamilton. He was predeceased by his brother Tom H. Chappell and father Thomas D. Chappell. He was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and spent time with family in West Virginia often. Danny worked for Ohio Engineering Operators and took pride in hard work. Danny was a car enthusiast who enjoyed racing and working on his Monte Carlo. He loved spending time with his family and lit up at the mention of his grandsons. His adventurous and tenacious spirit was apparent right until the very end of his life, spending his last days laughing and making jokes with those he loved. Memorial Service Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Michael J. Not sure what to say?

Miss you cuz!!! Miss you visiting wv

To my brother Danny you will truly be missed, it was wonderful getting to know my brother even more, the patience you showed, the compassion to those I would deem unworthy, but you felt a sadness for them, how funny when you were confronted with so many struggles in your life truly this reflects your character, how wonderful. I am glad you are my brother I love you, and will miss you.... Until we meet again....

Tammy Borden, my heart breaks for your loss. You are an exceptional sister who saw to Danny's needs, taking him in, taking him to Dr.'s appointments, feeding him, giving him all you could give. Always take comfort in knowing you did all you could do for him. You have always had unconditional love for all. He was Blessed to have you as his sister and friend.. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless

May you walk the streets of Gold laughing with your Dad, Brother, Grandparents and other relatives and friends gone ahead of you. Praying for your Family and Loved Ones left behind till we all meet again.

Danny was always a happy and friendly guy who will be forever missed by his family and friends, He was also very fortunate to have such a loving and caring family member in his sister Tammy who was there for him to make sure he was taken care of when many did not .... and during those last few months that is what gave him the most happiness

To the Chappell Family, you have my deepest sympathy. May God give you the needed strength to endure, during this difficult time (1 Corinthians 10:13.)
