Danny Ray Greene

Danny Ray Greene, 59, of Taylorsville, passed away April 21, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center. Born May 4, 1953 in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Alfred William Greene, Sr. & Louise Walker Greene. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death a grandson, William Jason Greene, brother, Alfred William Greene, Jr. and step nephew, Michael Williams. Mr. Greene was employed by Fedex and the Hickory Furniture Mart and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by 2 sons, Nick Greene and wife Crystal of Bethlehem, Nathan Greene of Bethlehem; grandson, Nathaniel Jason Greene, Jr.; 2 brothers Jimmy Greene of Bethlehem, Russell Greene and wife Shelia of Bethlehem; sister, Debra Greene Kerley and husband Monroe of Lenoir; 2 nieces, Angela and Jessica Greene of Bethlehem; nephew, James Greene ; step nephew, Raymond Williams and wife Tina; 2 uncles, Neil Walker and wife Kathie of Bethlehem, Roger Walker of Bethlehem; aunt, Reba Austin of Grace Chapel; special cousin, Alan Greene and wife Cindy of Lancaster, SC and a number of cousins. Mr. Greene will be greatly missed by his family and other loved ones. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neal Walker officiating.
