Danny “Gilligan” Guzman, of Midland, Texas, gained his wings on April 24, 2024. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalo Guzman, Sr., in Levelland, Texas, on June 17, 1966. Danny had many skills, among them, he worked at Tall City Battery & Electric, Corley Paper, and Tanks Barbecue and Catering. Family time was the most cherished opportunities he had. Whether it was sharing stories around the pit, making memories at the lake, or simply enjoying everyone’s company. He loved to share his grilling skills with his family, especially his granddaughters, and enjoyed every moment he had with them. His presence brought warmth and unity to everyone’s gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Pila and Gonzalo, Sr., brother George Guzman, and nephew Christopher Michael Guzman. He is survived by his loving daughter Veronica Gamboa (Rudy), 4 granddaughters-Gabriella, Graciella, Giana, and Giuliana, brothers Gonzalo “Gus” Guzman, Jr. (Linda), Agapito “Pete” Guzman (Emelia), Jesse Guzman (Sylvia), Tony Guzman (Letty), twin-sister Diana Guzman (Ramon), along with many nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers are Christopher Guzman, Ismael Guzman, Robert Guzman, Jason Guzman, Jesse Guzman, Jr., Fred Montez, Robert Carrasco, and Servando Wislar; all of Midland, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers are Jesse Rodriguez of Frisco, Texas, Raymond Flores, Jr., Armando Bonilla, Sr., and Joel Hernandez; all of Midland, Texas.
Services will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Viewing will take place Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass Service will be held at San Miguel Arcangel Catholic Church, Monday, April 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
We would like to give a special thank you to the Critical Care Team (5th Floor) at Midland Memorial Hospital for their love, skills, knowledge, and efforts in his last moments.
Although his life is now a memory, the bonds forged in those moments of family togetherness will endure as a testament to Danny’s everlasting life. His smile, love, and laughter will be missed by many.

My heart and love go out to my niece-in-law, Veronica (Rudy), who deeply loved and cared for her dad, Danny. I only met Danny a few times; he was always a nice person and funny. May Danny's journey to meet his Maker be beautiful. May God bless Veronica and her entire family in this time of sorrow.
We love you, Veronica, Rudy, Gabby, Gracie, Gia, and Giuliana.

My deepest condolences to the Guzman family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the opportunity of knowing Danny through my sister Veronica and I will always cherish the moments I spent with my sister at her dad’s house. He was always so sweet to me. He was always cracking jokes and sharing his knowledge of fishing. He was a great man and will be missed by many. Love you sister!
