Danny Steven Lay

Dear Betty;

I am saddened to hear of Danny passing but I am comforted knowing that he is moving on to a much brighter existence in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus. It has been a while since I've seen Danny but I know that he was not only a strong man but a courageous man as well.

Betty always know that I have had the deepest respect for you and your family. I won't elaborate except to say that Danny helped me a lot and if it weren't for his common sense a bad day...

I also work at Holy Grounds Coffee and was lucky enough to be able to get to know Danny. He was funny, feisty and irreverent. I can't really explain what made Danny so wonderful. Perhaps it was the fact that he was so unabashedly himself. Nothing felt better than getting Danny to crack a smile or a chuckle while giving him a berry smoothie or a big piece of banana bread.
