Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

RESENDEZ, Danny Rey “Taco” – Of Flint, age 56, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.


Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Matthew Soulia officiating.


Cremation will take place following the service.


Those desiring may make contributions to the family.


Visitation 2-7 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.


Danny was born on September 8, 1962 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Severiano and Alicia (Martinez) Resendez.


He loved working on cars, especially his 1969 Mustang. He was a great mechanic and helped others. Danny was an overall jack-of-all trades.


Above all he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.


Surviving are significant other, Angela Teague;


son, Emmilliano (Krystal);


mother, Alicia;


brother, Roberto;


sister, Rosemarie (Ric) Phillips;


grandchildren, Mia and Selena.


Special thanks to his friend, Tim Olson.


He was preceded in death by his father, Severiano; several aunts and uncles.

Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Danny well from Cottage Grove. He was still a kid when I left but he was one of the fondest memories I have from then. He was a good person with a good heart. Rest in Peace Danny.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember Danny as a young teenager, sad to hear about his death.
