Danny Larry Williams

Danny L. Williams, son of Madeline and the late David Williams was born on June 29, 1953 in Sparta, VA in Caroline County. Danny departed this life on July 24, 2009 of an apparent heart attack while cutting grass in Colonial Beach, VA. He became a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church in Central Point, VA at an early age, and attended school in Caroline County. He attended The United Electronic School in Tulsa, OK. He was joined in holy matrimony to Carolyn Bumbry on September 28, 1974, and to this union four children were born. He had one grandson whom he loved dearly. He was employed by King George County Schools for over 16 years in the Maintenance Department. He also worked part-time for Wal-Mart and Food Lion, and had many other trades. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He enjoyed spending all of his free time with his children and grandson. His grandson, Daveon, had a special place in his heart, and bought him SO MUCH joy! His hobbies included fishing, sightseeing, cars, and doing WHATEVER he could for others. He leaves to mourn his cherished memories with his loving and devoted wife of thirty five years: Carolyn; four children: Danielle, Derek, Fortune, and Camilla; one handsome grandson, Daveon; mother: Madeline Williams; two brothers: David Williams of Fredericksburg, VA and Robert Williams of Milford, VA; five sisters: Jacqueline Gray of Woodford, Va, Ada Ferguson of Dawn, VA, Janice Kilgore of Ruther Glen, Va, Sandra Williams of Manassas, VA, and Audrey Hammonds of Fayetteville, NC; a best friend: Muscoe Gardner; a host of brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations in a savings account at the NSWC Federal Credit Union for Daveon Purce.
