Not sure what to say?

Dante Benedetti - A wonderful, kind, man with a ton of stories to accompany a traditional italian meal at the New Pisa. You will remain in our hearts forever. God bless you - you've earned your golden wings in heaven. With love, Ruth Ricco and Family (North Beach)

Dear Coach Benedetti

Many thanks for the four years you coached me when I played for the New Pisa Dons. (1972-1975) I look back on those days with extreme gratitude. On behalf of all the players you coached and helped out in life, Rest in Peace, Coach.

Dante was a larger-than-life SF figure. I am very sorry for your loss. Those who knew Dante will miss him and will always remember the man he was with his generous way and great humor.

Rest in peace good friend.

Dante was a valuable piece of San Francisco. His hospitality and love of Baseball were steady and dependable. San Francisco is not the same city without him. Heaven no doubt welcomed him with a ball, bat, and glove. Enjoy playing again Dante!!

Dante, to me is San Francisco. I played for him at New Pisa for 11 years. He and Marino Pieretti befriended me when I came to him and his semi-pro team. He advised me and guided me for the Columbus Day softball game in which many San Francisco oldtimers played. He will always be the man I will look up to. A true gentleman. Thank you for letting me know you.

I'm sure Dante is already planning Baseball Games in Heaven. God Has been blessed to recieve a man so generous in spirit. It was a privlage to know you and share food at New Pizza. This was Mr San Francisco!

to the benedetti family, my deepest and sincere sympathy on the loss of dante. i've known him for close to 50 years and he never failed to impress me with his generosity, honesty, and his love of sports was was second only to love of family. i truly believe that every hand he ever shook was attached to a new family member. joe d. was right when he called dante "mr. baseball".
with love, manny

To the Benedetti family my thoughts and prayers and with you at this time.Ellis Cato a former student of Claudia Benedetti at Vis Valley Elem
