Not sure what to say?

I only spoke with Darcy a few times as a neighbor and reading these comments, how I wish I had known her better. I knew she and Rick were awesome parents because Noa is such a beautiful and kind little girl. My heart goes out to Rick and Noa and all of Darcy's extended family.

I am saddened and shocked to learn of Darcy's passing. I worked with her here in Albuquerque, and she quickly became a wonderful colleague and friend. Her outlook and approach to life was truly remarkable as she was loved and held in the highest esteem by many people. I always appreciated and admired her courage and drive as she never shied away from a challenge and welcomed change and personal growth. Her move to Hawaii more than 20 years ago is something that really amazed me and in...

Oh Darcy! Where do I start to tell you how much you mean to me? We were roommates just out of college at MSU..I remember you loving hot tea! You gave me your white leather adidas tennis shoes which were so in style at the time. I taught you how to make a T-Shirt "cool" by cutting out the collar, sleeves and length (to show a bit of belly)! Your laughter and positive attitude got me through some rough times. When I went through my divorce (years later) you told me: "join a gym and work your...

I had the privilege to know and work with Darcy. I found her to be a genuine and sweet person. She always took the time to chat & when she asked a question she truly listened to the answer. I will always remember her smile.

Darcy was my supervisor for a short period when I worked for the Developmental Disabilities Program. Shortly after I quit work to return to school, my son was in a serious motor vehicle accident; he required a lengthy stay in ICU and Rehab. Darcy called to offer me and my family a place to stay or to come take a short nap or shower--a chance to get out of the hospital for some quick respite. I never forgot that offer and how it made me feel. Thus, when I heard of Darcy's illness, I made...

I had the opportunity to work with Darcy. She was a wonderful, compassionate and intelligent woman, dedicated to improving the lives of all around her. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

To Noa, I worked with your mom for a long time, even though we lived in different parts of the state. Whenever Darcy had an idea of what would make kids' lives better she would insist, persist until it happened. If she decided something she was so determined no one really argued, because she would win. I am sure she will be watching and with you always, because she won't have it in other way. What a wonderful person to have for a mom!

Darcy interviewed me right out of college and offered me my first professional job. I always appreciated her gentleness towards me as a new graduate and she helped me better understand early intervention services. Because of Darcy I have specialized in the field of children and I have her to thank for opening those doors to me. Thank you Darcy. Hillary Haro
