Dear Chrepta Family,
A loss like this is very difficult to bear, especially someone so young and vibrant as Jay. A great family, and I want you all to know how saddened I am for your loss. As someone who at one time was very close to all of you, I want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jocelyn, Valerie and Ben,
We are so sorry to hear about Jay. You guys have been the best neighbors we could possibly have. We loved having the kids come to visit and seeing you on the back deck. We have missed you since you left Needham and will now miss Jay even more. All of our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Chrepta Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Jay was a man who was one in a million. I have known him since 1969 and was amazed we ended up living in the same state. Jay got life right. He loved, and people loved him back. He was a family man and had all his priorities in order. As his parents, you should feel proud that you raised such a wonderful son. For Jocelyn, I am so sorry for you loss and please let me know what I can do to help.

Kudos to whomever wrote the Obituary; an excellent job. I fully believe he's in Heaven, and you shall see him again, but not yet. All the best! xo~

Dear Jocelyn,
A friend just told me Darien had died. We were in homeroom at St. Rose and shared many laughs. I hadn't seen him since the mid-1980s when he showed up at the Asbury Park Press, where I was a reporter, looking for work as a stringer. I remenber that he showed me your photo. He was very proud.
However, I often tell this story to classmates.
