Helene and Manny: Abe and i express our sincerest sympathy to both of you.....Darin was a truly special human being. He tutored our son Shawn for his Bar Mitzvah 20 years ago and he came to our home.....I loved when he visited because he always had a smile and such a warm heart and love for Judaism....and always shared his love and stories about his family......What a jewel he was as a son! Abe and I are truly so sorry! May his memories always be a blessing and strengthen you both as...

I went to grad school with Darin in Baltimore many moons ago. He was a dear friend during our time together in Baltimore, and my family and I are deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
He was a treasured colleague and friend. May his memory be for a blessing and may all his loved ones be comforted by their fond memories of him.

Dear Helene & Manny,

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Darin. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Helene and Manny, Jason and Jon,

Words can't express the despair that we feel at the loss of Darin. He was a truly amazing, charismatic young man. One thing we could always count on seeing was Darin's beautiful broad smile at the sight of friends and family.

He will be dearly missed.

All our love,

Cousins Linda and Max

Dear Helene, Manny, Jason and Jon,
I was so sad to hear about Darin's passing, words can not express how deeply sorry I am on the loss of such a young, smart and charismatic person as Darin. I still remember the cute boy that would come over our house and had a smile on his face at any time of the day. The doors of Heaven opened wide to let him in and many welcomed his arrival. He will be forever in our hearts.

Dear Jon and Diner Family,
My condolences to all of you. We will miss Darin. He was the best recruiter for the field of Jewish communal service and to our now DFI program in Baltimore. His commitment and passion for all things Jewish will be missed and is such a loss to the community. I just heard last night a beautiful tribute to Darin at the Hillel staff conference and felt honored to be a part of that. What a special person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may Darin's name be...

While I was saddened to hear about Darin's death, I think about the joy he brought to others, especially the many people that he touched in the Jewish community. As the director of the Baltimore Institute for Jewish Communal Service where Darin completed his certificate, I got to know Darin well. I can still hear the calm in his voice, but also the passion. He spoke so lovingly of his family and of John. We have all lost a piece of ourselves when we lost this special soul.

Dear John,

I am so sorry for your loss. Throughout the time I worked with Darin he would speak about you, his husband, and the good life you shared together. The work that Darin did inspired so many and his ability to maneuver through the community with love and focus was revealed in the lives of those he touched.
My thoughts are with you -
Best regards.

Mr. and Mrs. Diner,

I cannot tell you how saddened I was to learn of Darin's death. I always enjoyed hanging with Darin - he was one of my closest pledge brothers and was a very close friend of mine while I was in Gainesville. Allthough we did not communicate much in recent years, I still considered him a good friend. I always thought we would have a chance to get to catch up in the future, and it saddens me that that opportunity is gone forever now. It's my loss that I wasn't a...
