Not sure what to say?

Dear Nergis:
We were just informed by Patti about Darius passing away. We are shocked and saddened by this news.
He was a good friend from my days at Columbia University and Lever Brothers. He was one of the most generous people I have known.
We wish you and Cyrus and family all the strength to bear this loss.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
Balachandra and Sharada

I am very sorry to hear this very sad news. I knew Darius when he was a professor at NYU. Darius was one of the kindest and generous persons that I have encountered in my life. He was incredibly helpful during my PhD days, and I will cherish his memory forever.

Nergis aunty and Cyrus, I am so very sorry to hear the news. I am proud not only to have known such a wonderful person but to have had him as my uncle. Cookie uncle, as he was known to me (and only my sister and I were permitted to call him by this name) was kind-hearted, funny and immensely knowledgeable. Hi Nargis:

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Patty (from Lever Bros. times) sent me the information of Darius passing away.

Darius and I were colleagues at IIT Mumbai, Columbia U. and at Lever Brothers.

We lost touch with each other after I moved to California.

Glad to know that you have a son and daughter-in-law and grand sons to help support you in your moment of grief.

Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Jehangir

We were blessed to consider Darius part of our family. He touched our lives in so many positive ways. We will remember him fondly and miss him greatly.

Darius with Kaeli Landon - April 2004

Darius had a zest for life and an optimistic , hopeful spirit in spite of the health problems he faced in his later years. He was a gentleman and a gentle man with a great sense of humor, ready wit and penetrating intelligence. I will always remember his bright eyes, and his ready smile and how he threw back a shot of espresso which he loved to do. A discussion with Darius with his knack for articulate argument was always enlightening. He was a great friend and I miss him greatly. Most of...
