Mr. Diebel and Family,
I knew Darla well in elementary and Jr high school. We visited often. I remember watching "The Monkees" on her basement rec room TV. I have thought of her often over the years and was very saddened to learn of her passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to you Larry, Nikita and the grandkids. Although we lost touch through the distant, I too deeply feel Darla’s loss. She was my first real friend when we moved to Setauket in 1961, when I was six years old. Darla gave me the gift of freedom. Freedom to take risks and to find something enjoyable in every moment. Mr. Diebel, Nikki and family: I was very sad to learn today that my childhood friend, Darla, had passed away. While I have not had contact with her for probably 30 years, I have wonderful memories of her as my neighborhood friend, spending many hours playing in Poquott. Know that she is at peace now and without pain and joins her Mom and brother, Gregg, in Heaven. May that give you some comfort as you try to live life without Darla. Hugs, Cindy
