Those of us who were lucky enough to know Darlene from both Hile and Ross Park will truly miss her. Her smile was contagious and very welcoming to all of the students and parents She was truly one-of-a-kind. Her loss will be felt by many . My heart goes out to her family. God bless

I worked with Darlene at Ross Park Elementary. She always had a smile for everyone- staff and students alike! I remember her as a very kind and friendly person. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I also have such fond memories of her from Hile School and as a band parent. What I remember most is that ever-present, beaming, contagious smile! May God give you peace now and in the days to come.

I was shocked and saddened to read the news of Darlene's passing yesterday. She was a big influence on my life and the lives of many children at Hile Elementary. She was a one of our Cub Scout Den Mothers, worked with Little League and Band parents.

She was a tireless worker and advocate for all of the kids she cared for. I grieve for her loss in this world as Darlene is exactly the kind of person we need more of. I then realize that all of us who were touched by her warmth and...

Dear Louie and family: Was so sorry to read of Darlene 's home going. She was such a loving person. Our families had lots of good memories and lots of fun together. And she was so thoughtful. Every Christmas I would get a card from "Darlene and Lou." Hold onto the good memories and the love she had for all of you. God bless and comfort you in the days ahead. Love you.
