This came in my email today, looking at the date it's difficult to absorb it's been as long as it has. Darlene was a sweet quite gentle and loving person. My Grandparents thought so highly of her, and loved her as one of their own grand girls. My faith comforts me to know, she resides in glory, in peace and joyfully celebrating everyday without Lord and love who have gone before her and have joined her in that beautiful place that is repaired for his children. ❤

To Darlene's family, I had been looking for Darlene on facebook to find out that she has passed. Words can not express how surprised I am however, I would like to give my condolences to the family. I was one of friends at ECU. She was a lovely young lady that was full of fun. She will certainly be missed. RIP Chaney!

To the Chaney Family, I just learned of Darlene's passing while looking for her on facebook. While at ECU she was a good friend and I can remember her as she played basketball. She was a very happy and kind person. I am sorry for your loss. Although I haven't been in contact with her since shortly after her leaving East Carolina University she will surely be missed. May God's peace be with you and your faith take you through.

To the Chaney Family,
I just learned of Darlene's passing while searching on FB for Gail. Never did I expect to see that Darlene had taken her place with her Creator. I am beyond stunned, for I remember Darlene as being such a vibrant person. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. May God continue to comfort each and everyone of you and may the wonderful memories of Darlene rest within your hearts forever.

To the Chaney family,
I recently learned of Darlene’s passing. Upon hearing about it, my mind was immediately filled with reminiscing thoughts of through the years where Darlene’s beautiful personality brightened every encounter that I had with her while at Huguenot High School (79-82). Darlene’s athletic prowess on the basketball court (widely known) was but an extension of the phenomenal person that she was. You all have my deepest condolences.

Sometimes there are no words. I just found out yesterday that she is gone. I only knew her briefly but I have never forgotten her and I'm certain I never will… He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust Psalm 91:4
