We will miss you Darlene..... I remember meeting Darlene in 1990 at Hawthorne Manor retirement community and I started working at Hawthorne Manor in 1990. And The first time I met Darlene she had a big smile and was always joyful to talk to you she also brought a lot of joy at Hawthorn Manor. It is great sadness that I send this message of sympathy to Dalene´s family. We tried to stay in touch over the years after I left my work at Hawthorne Manor, and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA. Darlene came to visit us and help in whatever capacity she could. When I came back to Spokane forcvisits, I always looked Darlene up. Then after our last visit about 10 years ago, we lost touch. I kept trying to find her but never could. I tried to find a home she had lived in but I was unsuccessful. I...

I met Darlene working together at Meals on Wheels. She was a wonderful person, full of love and compassion for the clients of MOW and the Mid-City Senior Center. I enjoyed working with Darlene and considered her a friend. I am saddened to hear of her passing and send my warmest thoughts.
