Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear about Darlene's passing. She was a tremendous colleague, friend and advocate for children and families. She was someone easy to talk to, willing to listen and I feel blessed to have worked with her at the Job Center for many years. My fondest memories are of the times she played her accordion for our Christmas Program at A Child's Place Child Care Center. We could always count on her kindness, jovial personality and kind heart. May God bless and comfort Don and her...

Darlene was a kind, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor who enjoyed her family, friends and giving back to the community.
She joined the RSVP Mentoring ranks in September and while I was interviewing Darlene she shared how important it was for her to live life to the fullest and enjoy each day. She decided to become one of the Kenosha News My Turn columnist and in one of her more recent submissions titled Make your years count she shared a quote by Abraham Lincoln...

So sorry to read about Darlene. We both attended St Marks and St Joes together. We also shared a love for playing the accordion. Darlene also had a beautiful voice and I can still hear her singing Lipstick On Your Collar. We sang for a short time in a band and she just shined. She always responded to messages with love. God speed Dar. Heaven has another angel in its midsts.

Sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers for your family.

Don & Family,
So sorry to learn of your loss. I knew Darlene while working for Gateway Technical College at the Kenosha Job Center. We had more than a few laughs regarding work, travel, family and friends. I so enjoyed her comments this past year writing for the "My Turn" column in Kenosha News. RIP Darlene... Melvina Klemm
