Not sure what to say?

Dear loved ones of Darlene -

I apologize for not contacting you sooner, but my family needs have kept me from checking my e-mails regularly recently - please forgive me. I was very shocked to hear of your loss, as the e-mail notices I received from her did not indicate that she was in poor health. I have not seen Darlene, nor have had any conversations with her since we graduated in June of 1955. We were friends while schoolmates, and I have thought of her often as she was such...

Doug and family-
It seems like just the other day that Dar and I were young cousins hanging out in a booth at the Ritzi in Jackson. She was telling me how life would be a lot more fun when I got to be her age. She was all of seventeen but I was only thirteen, so I listened and believed.
Saying goodbye forever was not one of the things we talked about that sunny summer afternoon some fifty-three years ago, but suddenly, here we are. I can't believe I'm saying goodbye, Dar.
Our...

Sorry to read of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Darlene and myself, back in 55 I believe

I remember how beautiful my cousin was, when I was just a little girl. She had the most wonderful laugh, a beautiful smile, and I was in awe of her. As I grew up, I remember her coming by the house to see her Uncle Eddie and Aunt Madge and fill us in on her amazing family. I have a picture of her holding me as a toddler. It's one of my favorites from dad's old slide collection. So sorry to hear of her passing. Anita Rakowski Devine

I remember Aunt Helen, Uncle Bob and Darlene and Nadine visiting my parent's house all the time when we were kids. The joyous laughter, the jokes, the constant giggling and all of my 2nd cousins brought me such joy in my youth. Upon my father's passing a couple years ago (Edwin), Darlene sent me a wonderful letter and one to my mom (Madge). I had always wondered what had happened to the wonderful people from my youth. I had grand hopes of reconnecting with Darlene and Nadine one day and...

Prayers are being offered in memory of Darlene. May you take comfort in your memories.

We used to be good friends when she was about 8-14-years-old. I drove her & her sister, Nadine, to our parents' house for dinner every Sunday. I saw her a couple of years ago at Fr. Tom's church and we renewed our friendship. God bless her. She has our prayers. Danny Van Antwerp, Troy, MI..

I'm so sorry to hear of Darlene's death. We always looked forward to seeing her here in Michigan and were greatly surprised and happy to have her show up at Fr. Tom's 50th ordination jubilee. I am so sorry for your loss.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
