I will forever be grateful for our friendship, and the joy and laughter we shared at Dillard University. Darnell will always be remembered as the happy, positive spirit with the one in a million smile! Truly will be missed and I am sending prayers and love to Darnell's family. Rest in peace my friend.

I had the privilege of having Darnell in my classes at Dillard University in the mid-1980s, and again 25 years later at Delgado Community College. He was a delightful, responsible student, filled with optimism and love of life. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He enriched the lives of all who knew him. He will be missed dearly.
