Darrel served honorably with our Mobile Riverine Force in Vietnam. It is so sad to hear of his sudden passing. So old friend, called home first. For 30 years you provided the other half of the laughter. Born 10 days apart we celebrated our birthdays together for decades. Once an old woman hobbled over and said "Your laughter intertwines in the air, it is the sound of joy." Of all the places we laughed, somehow the mid Missouri River valley in autumn lingers. Old friend, brother, get us a table with a view on an October patio. Go ahead and order a good bottle of Norton. I´m a slow old man these days...
