Not sure what to say?

Didn´t know him well but I worked at young´s market in Bakersfield and he came there and we had wonderful conversations , was always nice to see him You passed the same time as my mother

you always were a kind person I always will remember you

I am heart broken. you saved me by believing me. NHS 79

Mr. Cates was a valuable mentor and music teacher in my life...I am a music coach now for 30 years largely because of his inspiration. We hope to see him one day in the Heavenly gathering. There will be fabulous Music there!

I was looking at familyhistory.com and just found out Mr. Cates was my 8th cousin via the same 8th great grandparents, George and Jane Bowling. You are missed, by many.

Sad to hear of your passing. Tried to find you several times to thank you for your encouragement and training so long ago. You'll never know how much I learned from my time in choir. A good man with so many talents and the ability to bring out the best in those he taught.

Darrell was the son of Raymond(Red)Cates Sr. And Clara Housman Cates, who preceeded him in death. He is SURVIVED by a sister,Jo-Ann Trammel of Anna. He is preceeded in death by 3 brothers, and one sister. Darrell was my uncle that I never got a chance to know.I hope he rests in peace.

To my 1958 Classmate, I say, rest in Peace friend with our Lord in heaven.

Darrell was my classmate at Anna Jonesboro Community High School. I only reconnected with him once since our graduation in 1958. But he was a fun, lighthearted, smart, talented and very kind man. Those whose lives he touched are better individuals for his prescence. I am so sorry to learn of this loss.
