Rita and Anna, I knew your brother through our friendship; despite his physical issues, he always had a sunny disposition and made me and others laugh; what a wonderful virtue. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. Skip

Darrell aka my favorite pirate Was a friend indeed Val will get this the day he rescued me from the Virginia Highway Patrol you will truly be missed my friend

So sorry to hear about Darrell passing. It's been years since we've seen or talked to each other.I will always remember our younger days driving a school bus enjoying life thinking we had our whole life ahead of us.He was always life of the party and always made you laugh no matter what was going on.I know right now he's making a Angel laugh as he's cutting up. RIP been a pleasure knowing you.

Darrell and I crossed paths a few years ago working at a local roadside service company. He trained with me for a few weeks and we immediately hit it off. Driving around the area chatting about common interests came easy with Darrell. We shared a lot of interests..ice hockey, football, especially SEC and ACC, fishing, and working with the public. I worked with Darrell when we were both bus drivers for W-S/FC Schools, and in the summers at the bus garage. He was a great person and will be missed by anyone who knew him. Love and prayers to the family.

I drove a school bus with Darrell back in the mid 80's. Enjoyed being around Darrell. Lost track of time after driving for Reynolds. Sorry to hear of his passing
