O. L. Hughes and Sons Mortuary - Lexington Obituary

Darrell Wayne Hamilton was born on November 21, 1962, to the late Marion (McNeal) Hamilton and Leon Hamilton. He departed this life on June 29, 2022.

Darrell was a kind, quiet, very intelligent, and gentle giant who loved music and playing the bass guitar. At one point, his dream came true: He was able to play and perform with Edison Revenge, and he became a member. He was a graduate of the Bryan Station Sentot High School and graduate of Bluegrass Tech College. Darrell will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife whom he loved with his whole heart, Rowan Aislyn Hamilton, known as “Rose.”

He leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters, Lezley Hamilton and Karen Dishman; two stepchildren, Anthony and Cynthia Brineger; two nieces, Zamiriah Harris and Ebony Watts; one nephew, Tovalis Dishman; two great-nephnews, Bryson Simpson and Chase Walker; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a very close childhood friend (and family), Chief Lawerne Weathers of the Lexington Police Department.
