Darrell left a great legacy of love for God and neighbor which will live on in each of us. He taught me how to be in ministry to the very least of these in prison...for that...I and Fairgrove United Methodist Church will be eternally grateful!

Darrell was a good friend and the best of Coast Guard shipmates. His zest for life enlivened all who came in contact with him. He was truly one of the best, and all who knew him will miss him. "Fair winds and following seas" as you continue your journey, dear friend.

Dear Connie, Candy and Camilla, I will miss your Dad so much!! He and I always talked about our good times when we lived at the Orchard many years ago...he will always have a special place in my heart. All my Love you to girls and Marcia...Sherion, Dwight,Michael and Steven Godwin.

I so enjoyed my friendship with Darrell, I met him thru my granddaughter Ariel. He was a wonderful person and will be missed.

Words cannot express how we feel. When we heard about his ill-health, we prayed. We never knew that it will come to this. we were shocked to hear of brother Darrel's passing. May his gentle soul rest peacefully in our Lord's bossom. Our heart goes to sister Marcia/family.Please be consoled with these words. We are all strangers here on earth. One by one we came and so shall we all depart. The good thing is that he made it (the crown awaits him.) We will all miss him. Always remember that God...

A grand cousin and a Christian of the first rank. We'll miss him. We have lost three of the cousins in the last few months and none can be replaced.

The Lord knows what he is getting. They all led exemplary lives on earth.

We feel so blessed to have had Darrell as a friend, and grateful that our grandchildren were able to meet him at Camp GuilRock just two weeks before his passing.
What a kind and gentle spirit he shared with everyone, especially children.

Marcy, our continued prayers are with you and your family.

What a Disciple of Christ! Darrell committed his life to serving the Lord. How truly sorry I am for the loss that his family feels at this sad time. Bless you all. Sheila Main
