Not sure what to say?

You have not been forgotten .still in our heart .

We was left behind to carry on Darrell Russell legacy. We look up to Darrell in Heaven and all that we gained from him. We gained wisdom, knowledge, kindness, caring, concern, respect, honor, dignity, pride, faith .. an act of courage, determination, dedication, devotion and life ... the gift of love to share with others, even throughout his career as a drag racer, son, brother, husband and a friend to many. Many count life by years and forget all the memories shared. Precious people turn...

Darrell, you are always in out heart

still loved and missed

To the entire Russell family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I actually had the chance to meet and get to know most of the family while at Oceans, you all were some of the most nicest, down-to-earth people I have ever met. I am truely sorry for your loss.

Julie, Chris, Burnell, and Gwen:

While a year and 3 days have now passed, Darrell has still not left our thoughts and you have not left our prayers. Stay strong, and remember that all of Darrell's supporters are now supporting you as you guys proceed through this tough time. While every trip to St Louis will remind us of losing Darrell, every trip to the Winternationals will remind me of how special and talented he was.

Stay Strong

Dear Julie, Chris & the Russell Family. A Year has gone, but Darrell has not. He will forever shine. Chris , dont lose the Spirit, keep on, i think Darrell would love you for it. With my heart breaking. All my Love and good Wishes. CHRISTA

The light warm rain was Darrells way of letting us know he was there, and things were going to be ok. He will always be a winner! Many prayers to the Russell Family as this year passes.

Tomorrow will mark one year since Darrell was taken from us. The conscious understanding that he is gone is there, but it still seems surreal. Watching the tribute video still evokes strong emotions and brings tears to my eyes.

Sadly, I cannot say I ever knew Darrell personally, but being a drag racer myself, I feel a connection that outsiders wouldn't understand.

Even though I consider most all of the drivers on the NHRA tour to be good role models, one thing...
