Not sure what to say?

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Darrell J. Schumann US Marine Lance Corporal. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made...

Chiefs Schumann and Family,

On this Memorial Day I spent time reflecting on those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Lance Corporal Schumann's passing is the singular event that made Memorial Day's meaning personal to me. Chief Mary Schumann was my Chief and I remember when Lance Corporal Schumann visited her in uniform at the 83rd Communications Squadron...she was so very proud. My heart broke hearing of his loss. It has truly been my honor to sign Darrell's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Darrell will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

I appreciate all the information that has memorialized Darrel's name. I've only now am learning of his fate. In the military, we learn to say hello and...

Very sorry for your loss. Terrible thing. But he is with God now, no better thing. Will pray for him.

Our Dearest Darrell,
Another year has ticked by, and it still seems like just yesterday we were hugging you and saying goodbye at our visit before your deployment. The pain is still there, and while we struggle with you not being in our physical world, we know you are with us in spirit, and can feel your presence, and that warms our hearts.
Every day we think of you, miss you, and love you. The family continues to do things that honor your name, and make you proud, as you were so...
