Not sure what to say?

I just heard of Darrels passing a few days ago. Im so saddened to hear of your loss. I served in the Army with Darrel at Ft. Lewis. He was always the nicest guy and made everyone around him feel good.
Im sorry that Darrel and I didnt stay in touch, but Ive thought about him often over the years; as I have all my old friends from that time of my life. He was a truly genuine, thoughtful and kind person. Ill always remember him that way.
My condolences to all of you.

Mr. Whitfield ALWAYS encouraged me every time I visited him. ALWAYS. He was cheering for me when I went to Korea and put forth the effort to improve myself. He was always a positive, motivating force within my life and i'll never forget him for what he has done for me and everyone else who was around him.

God bless you, Darrel. I'll miss you.

Darrel and I had a few classes together at Lakeview Cenntenial and we worked together at Bonanza Steak House after school. Darrel was one of the first people to befriend me as I was new to Garland, TX having moved from St.Paul, MN right before my Sophomore year at LCHS. I looked up to Darrel even though we were the same age/grade, he was older than his years would suggest. He was a hard working guy who knew how to have fun and relax. He was friendly to everyone but didn't put up with...

My condolences to you and the family. It was devastating to hear of his passing. We had business dealings together and I recently referred him out to another colleague and was told of the news. He was a true genuine humble spirit and really connected with my clients in the inspection visits. He will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to the Whitfield family. May you receive the peace and comfort that only the Lord can provide. God bless.

My deepest condolences to Heidi and the entire Whitfield family on Darrel's passing. He was a very polished, professional work associate whose judgement I valued greatly. May he rest in eternal peace.
