Not sure what to say?

I did not know Darrell very long but I was happy to have known him. When his father, my dearest cousin, was dying, we became correspondents and I really knew him and grew to love him.

Dad, I think of you every single day and I KNOW you are all around me and your grandchildren, Rylie & Otis. I am sure the world has never known such a fascinating and complicated man. It is comforting for me to think of what tremendous peace you must now feel and to ponder all of the lovely, hilarious, tender and quirky memories I have of you. You are missed and loved terribly. Your daughter, Liz & family

I just discovered that Darrell passed on... I was hoping to send some controls work his way. I worked with Darrell on the first project of my career in 1998. He was a neat man and taught me a lot. I got to work with him in England as well on another job. He and I shared an interest in radio as well. Rest in peace, my friend.

Darrell Parked his giant motor home outside Sister Z's house so he could help her in her distress. Across the street from us. Some neighbors groused about it. I went over to talk. And was transfixed. What a neat guy. We talked and talked and talked. My wife wanted to meet him too and was glad she did. Hope people think of me what I thought of him.

You and I bought our first Harley Davidson's together in NY. I kept the thunder chicken in my garage for you until you came back and got it. I will always remember our time together. Fare thee well well my friend, I will see you on the other side.

Darrell,
I enjoyed meeting you and talking with you when you came to Virginia to see Z. I could see you were a good man, a true friend, and a great brother. Your legacy endures.
Len

Dear Darrell,
Though we never met, I knew you through Z. Thank you for making her happy for as long as you could. The connection you two shared will never be lost. There will be a time when you will rejoin each other and continue where you left off. We just can't see you, but indeed, we feel your presence.

Many more blessings,
Liz Jan
