Darren served under me in the 308th third platoon. I was his platoon sergeant. I remember him every year and visit his final resting place. It saddens me to this day to have lost such a great American Hero. I recall his insistant thirst for knowledge and proficientcy. His lust to be the best. I gave him everything I knew.
