Not sure what to say?

Darren was a friend of mine in high school, we graduated together in 1986. My heart was filled with sadness as I saw his name on the Nimitz High website "In Memory". He was a very good man. This world has suffered a tremendous loss. Our prayers are with his family.

Darren was a dear friend to me during our college years at HPU. We had so much fun together. I will cherish the memories of the laughter, serious discussions, discovery of friendships, and even tears. Darren was loved by many. His sense of humor and geuine care for others will leave a lasting impression on all those who knew him. I hope you find peace and comfort through Christ Jesus during this time of loss.

Darren was a friend of my daughter's while they were at HPU. I visited with him several times and felt as if I knew him. He had touched a lot of lives at that time, and I'm confident that he touched many more. He was obviously loved by many, many people. I hope just knowing that will be a comfort to you.

I will remember Darren as a true friend, a humanitarian, a christian, a caring guy with a great sense of humor - he could always make me laugh - I'll cherish the memories.

Darren has been in my heart and life for over 21 years. With my most recent trip home to Irving,

Darren and I had a great opportunity to talk about his life.

He shared with me the thought that if he were to die tomorrow he would have very little regrets about the people and places in his life.
He shared that he had been happy with the love he had found through friends and companions.
Though he did explain that he is aware we all must die, he did...

As a college friend, I was so impressed with the way Darren truly cared for everyone no matter who they were. He brought so much joy and fun to so many. I hope that as we all remember Darren, we will tell and re-tell the many stories of his humility and genuine concern for all. Let his life inspire us to do the same.

My prayers are with all his family and friends.

I have known Micheal since high school, been a neighbor to his cousin, Linda Armstrong, and met Darren several years ago when he became friends with my daughter Laura. He was a great person who was always smiling and made others smile. I remember having him over to supper one time, and he kept us laughing. The world will miss him!

Darren was extraordinary, even in the most ordinary tasks. He was one of those rare friends that could always be counted on to lend a hand. He worked tirelessly and with a smile on his face. He had the courage to look for the deeper, invisible qualities in people. He truly cared for all those around him.

I will miss his wonderful sense of humor and his friendship immensely.

My prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Darren was a close and wonderful friend to me during our college years at Howard Payne. He was like a brother and I will truly miss him.

My prayers go to his family at this difficult time.
