Darrin served in the Marines from 1984 to 1988. He worked for Brusco Tug and Barge, took part in the Apprenticeship Program through J.H. Kelly, was a NORPAC millwright and a jack-of-all-trades.

He enjoyed running, wrestling, techno music, riding bikes, skateboards, snowboards and scooters, building model cars and airplanes, skydiving, bungee jumping, tinkering on his vehicles, painting his nails and so much more.

Darrin was full of life. He was caring, loyal, always thinking of others and a strong shoulder to lean on. He was the best brother, and will be remembered for his heart of gold.

He is survived by his parents, Lyle and Deanna Oster of Woodland; four sisters, Darlene (Allan) Blankenship of White Salmon, Wash., Sally (Gary) Dobbins of Cathlamet, Mickey (Gordy) Jensen of Longview and Chrissy Davenport of Woodland; 11 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous extended family members.

Not sure what to say?

To the Family of Darrin,
I was a friend of Darrins and he will be so very missed. I went to prison in 2003 and got out in 2007. He contacted me and I never got to see him before the accident and I will regret that for the rest of my life. I was to busy working and never had the time to get to woodland.
Darrin was the most talented person I ever met, he could do anything. He was an inspiration to anyone who knew him.
Sincerely your friend,
Bryan N Dearden (Milkman)

Dear Oster Family: I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Darrin in December. Although I haven't had much contact in recent years - we spent alot of good times together with the girls playing softball as teenagers and Darrin wasn't far behind - always helping out or helping play a practical joke behind the scenes. I know he will be missed greatly. My prayers to your family - with sincerity,

To the family of Darrin Oster: Those who have died will never be forgotten. Their sacrifice for their country will live on forever in the hearts of all who cherish freedom. Remembering your loved one. Condolences,

I was so very sorry to hear of Darrin's passing, although I haven't seen him in a few years, his smile is the first thing that comes to my mind. My prayers are with the entire Oster Family.
