Obituary

CRANFILL, Darryl "Beaver," formerly of Richmond, passed away on September 2, 2009 in California. Beaver was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Cranfill Spake; his father, James L. Cranfill; and a daughter, Kathy Cranfill. He is survived by his brother, Michael Cranfill Sr.; and a nephew, Michael Cranfill Jr. Darryl served in the Vietnam War for two tours as a combat engineer. Beaver was employed by Profitt Mill Works. There will be a memorial service at West End Presbyterian Church, 9008 Quiocassin Road, Richmond, Va. 23229, on Saturday, September 19, at 12:30. Darryl was a father-like figure to Mandy Cranfill Smith. Darryl was very close to Roy Payne's daughters, Priscilla and Lauren. All who knew him will greatly miss him. In lieu of flowers, make donations to West End Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
