Not sure what to say?

Darryl and I worked on the same team at UnitedHealth Group for only a short time. But in that short time, I came to realize that, beneath that quiet exterior, was a man of many talents, great wisdom, and splendid character. He gave it his all in evetything he did, and that was something I admired. I'll miss his guidance and sense of humor. Rest well Darryl.

Darryl,
May you find the fish rising to your casts where you are now. Tight lines and save us a space on that river. We will miss you till then.

I had the pleasure of working with Darryl at UnitedHealth Group IT. We met in August 2006 and worked together until he went out on disability in 2007. Even in that short period of time, I believe we became friends. We had the opportunity to travel to New Jersey for business with another associate, and managed to find humor along the way. My fondest memories of Darryl will be his sense of humor and ability to find a reason to laugh at life's most serious moments. Even after his diagnosis,...

I am a member of the Long Beach Casting Club. Darryl has touched so many of us. He will always be with us as we fish the streams and rivers of god's great cathedral of the outdoors. Vaya con Dios Darryl.

I am his colleague at work. We worked like a family, shared work, our life experiences, our family stories, our travels, our hobbies, etc. He loved to talk about fishing trips and hiking in Yosimite Park. His office cubicle has lovely pictures of Yosimite park and Trouts ! He loved his family very much. I sincerely miss such a good friend. My condolences to his family.

I knew Darryl via the web and the casting club. My condolences to his family.

I knew darryl from before his fishing days. Playing volleyball and hanging out at chevron. will never forget him and how giving and nice he was. RIP darryl. I will always remember you.

Darryl was the leader of the August 2006 Golden Trout Wilderness fly fish/backpacking adventure that I joined. We hiked the Mulkey Meadows Pass together, and we also hiked to and fished the South Fork Kern River headwaters together. For me, it was the trip of all fly fishing/backpacking trips, and I have Darryl to thank, as he made it all possible. He organized and led the trip. He even volunteered the use of the family van, and drove the whole trip! Darryl was kind, wise, generous, and...

I'm a member of the casting club, and had a few chances to fish with Darryl in local waters. He was a great person to fish with, and I'll miss him out there.
