Mr. McCaffrey came to my mind today after all these years. I looked him up online and saw that he had passed away. I would have travelled from across the country to go to his funeral if I had known. Sending warm thoughts to the McCaffrey family on your loss. I was one of those girls Mr. McCaffrey coached at Tolman and, with his help, we were part of the first girls´ cross country team at Tolman. He was a gentleman a scholar and made running a lot of fun! He was the perfect person to lead us-we were so lucky. May you rest in peace-your race is run and you ran it well, Mr McCaffrey.
