Mr. Darryl Glenn Owens, age 58, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 12, 1962 to the late Beauford Owens and the late Julia Grimsley Owens. He retired from the U.S. Navy after having honorably served his country for over 20 years.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Owens, and a sister, Carolyn Owens Wingerter.
He is survived by seven sisters: Gayle Yaunk, Linda Lundy, his twin, Cheryl Villarico, Missy Campos, Beth Owens, Shannon Lindsey, and Kim Owens; his beloved pets: Pickles, Ollie, and Edna; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
My heart is broken!!! You and built a wonderful friendship at the VA. I loved being your MSA scheduler. I will miss our talks about your animals. The neighbors cats and etc. I will miss you so much my friend. I was glad to be able to give back to you as you sacrificed for our country. I will miss you my friend!
