Dad...... its been almost 2 yrs and I still don't and won't accept it that you are gone.... I am fine over here in Afghanistan and I know you are looking out for me... I love you with all my heart and it breaks me down just to look at your picture and know my son, the next "lil Darryl" wont get to meet his G-Pa..... You were and are my hero and if I can be half the men you were I will be satisfied with life.... I LOVE U POP

Darryl we only met once at the Officer Memorial Ceremony. I am an Officer with Marshville PD in NC. You cut up with my son and I felt like you were truly one of my brothers playing with his nephew. All he (my son)talked about was "the bootleg!" We! my son and I feel the loss of a part of our family. My big brother, his uncle. You are missed and WE will be at that ceremony on the 11th.

A YEAR AGO TODAY THE FAMILY WAS DEVISTATED BY YOUR EARLY DEPARTURE. THROUGH THE GRACE OF GOD WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PICK BACK UP THE PIECES BUT OUR HEARTS ARE STILL HEAVY. YES WE NEEDED YOU, BUT GOD NEEDED YOU MORE.. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. R.I.P. UNCLE DARRYL FOR YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED..

It's been one year since we lost a brother, counterpart, co-hart, fellow soldier..., etc. I'm on patrol, pulled to the side of the road, and decided to browse and realized it was a year ago I learned of "Q" passing.

The year has past quickly but our hurt and disbelief still remains. God has been the source of our strength and he has carried us. My Brother we miss dearly but heaven couldn't wait any longer for you. Rest in Peace.

officer quick was a good man. the few dealings i had with him were not so good. mostly for fighting and other ignorant mess. but he was always fair. Brittany and I went through high school and have be good friends since the 8th grade. It hurts so much to see her go through this. I just wanted to offer my condolences to his family and honor his memory. RIP DARRYL QUICK...
