Not sure what to say?

Darryl was a dear friend and always up for more tickets to any event. My family spent many fun filled evenings at the Hollywood bowl enjoying good food and light conversion. Darryl on one occasion traded his great seat with me and one of the kids so that they could see & hear better. Darryl never found our seat so he sat down in the isle and enjoyed the event all alone. I think he was still happy for the grand juster .

Dawn I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and your dear brother. This sad news came to us a little late, but know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Diane Sternal Boggess

Darryl was my first boss when I joined Burroughs in 1978. He was a mentor and we enjoyed being close colleagues and friends until he retired in 2000. He had the nickname of Mr. MICR in reference to his responsibility for some complex and critical code in the operating system responsible for check processing. His code handled a few gazillion checks over his career. I remember my very first business trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in Denver Darryl with the patch in his pocket to fix a problem...

Darryl was such a terrific guy and always the perfect gentleman. Although I only had a chance to visit him and Toni on a few occasions while traveling to CA from NC, I always looked forward to those visits. They were a wonderful couple who did everything together, and I can only imagine how much our Sister will miss him.

Although our family has always been spread over the compass points, each and ever time I am able to be in their presence is special. Seeing Aunt Toni and Darryl has always been something I so look forward to. He will be sorely missed by all of us in the Sternal Clan. Thoughts and prayers go out to you Aunt Toni. Much Love.

I enjoyed playing Bridge with Darryl and Toni. His Bridge emails were always fun and funny. Tuesdays will not be the same.

No better friend could a person have than Darryl. My sister was indeed a lucky gal.

Playing bridge with Darryl was so much fun. I loved to tease him and see if I could get him to smile and even better to laugh!
Such a gentle soul. We all are missing him.

though I only knew Darryl as a member of our Bridge Club I found him to be kind, considerate and patient . He will be missed.
