Darryl C. Stevens (DC) was born February 17, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, to Charles Stevens and Estella Watson. He attended South Shore High School. In 2002, he married Jacelyn Stevens and to this union two children were born. In 2012, he married Rachael Stevens and to this union, one child was born. He was a locomotive engineer for the railroad and he also completed college courses. Darryl loved to ride his motorcycle and watch basketball. He also enjoyed going out to eat and attending the movie theater with his family. 


Darryl went home on Saturday, April 27th, at 2:57 a.m.  He leaves to cherish his memories, a spouse, Rachael Stevens, and his three sons Darryl Stevens Jr., Darius Stevens, and D'Mauri Stevens. One sister Chanecia Stevens, one niece, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Vanessa Stevens. Darryl was truly loved and will be missed. 


A memorial visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. South Holland, IL 60473 with services led by Pastor Steven Wright.
