Not sure what to say?

Fr. Cornish was the spiritual director assigned to me in my discernment retreat at Sacred Heart Retreat House in Sedalia, CO. His advice to me enabled me to pursue the correct calling in my life. God bless him.

One reason I loved Daryl was because he was NOT a saint; sometimes he felt angry or depressed at his situation and could say so. But I was also surprised to learn one day that he hardly ever thought about MS. He was more involved in thinking about art and what he was going to do next.

Thanks to his families (the Cornishes and the Jesuits) for sharing him with us.

Daryl and I first met at Rockhurst College. We spent many happy times there with our beloved Bob Lakas SJ and his trusty secretary Jane Hatcher.

Daryl endured over thirty years of disability and suffering from MS, but he never complained, he only wanted to do more--more counseling, more praying, more art.

I was sorry to hear about Daryl. Whenever the family gets together to talk of old times, of course the Cornish family is always mentioned. There are many fond memories. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Peggy (Seigler)Mynatt

I am John McEniry of the Rockhurst High School of 1968.
I am so saddend to hear of Daryl's passing to eternal life. He was (as far as I am aware) the only priest, let alone a Jesuit from our class. I know he had suffered for a long time.
Please know that I am the classmate who keeps people informed on things going on in our class (I have taught at Rockhurst for 29 years), and that all 110 pluss of of classmate contacts have been informed.
God bless and keep Daryl in the palm of His...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

It is with deep sorrow I read of Fr. Cornish's death. Daryl and I attended Rockhurst College together and I attended St. Teresa's Academy with his sister Diane. Please know your family is in my prayers.
