I am sorry for your loss! Oh what a blessing every day that passed that we had Daryl! I just wish I could have been there for the funeral. I struggle with waiting to see his smile, and hear his voice on the phone STILL! Daryl would start talking to me about how he was at peace with the idea of his passing this world on. I would always tell him to change the subject. I couldn't join in on the whole idea prematurely. I would always have tears flowing when I even...

I was so sorry to here of Daryl's passing. My prayers are with you.

I have just heard of Daryl's passing and am truly sorry for your loss. I have known him since about 1993 when he began coming into a local video store where I worked, and we became friends. I always enjoyed seeing him there, cheering our little guys on, while wearing his Alabama t-shirt and cap. He was a real joy to know and will be greatly missed. God now has...

Before His Throne

There’s a place
beyond this life
With no sickness,
heartache, and strife.
Praise is continually going on;
Eternally forever-
Before His Throne!

And there’s a place;
while on this earth
Where all your burdens
can be cast forth;
A place where
you are never alone;
Eternally forever-
Before His Throne!

This is very hard to write. It will be so hard to not see Daryl standing on the side of the mat. I am so thankful that I got to know him and will truly miss his smiling face. He smiled all the time and you couldn't help but smile when you saw him. He was such a great person and I and my whole family will miss him. I am a better person for having known him.

To say that Daryl was a friend would be an understatement. He was a dear brother in Christ, and he taught me so much about forgiving and living. I had the privilege of working with Daryl in a very small way on his book project. As I said in the forward, and as I sit here remembering him, I can see him walking up to me, smiling, as he did many times. If I was having a bad day and feeling sorry for myself for some petty problem, suddenly my "problem" was put into perspective by this amazing guy...
