In the last year, I experienced some very specific adversity, and Doug helped me when I needed it. I truly appreciate that help. I heard a minister say that he didn't just want to be remembered when he dies, but he wants to be missed. Well, Doug, you accomplished that goal. You are not only remembered, but you are missed. Rest in peace my brother.

Cuzzin Dougie.... Where do I begin? I miss u still find myself looking up the street for ur truck sometimes. Oh find myself thinking of u if I need some help. You left us to soon and I'm sorry it took me so long to write you, but I kno ur in a great place now. Rest easy cuz kiss grandma for me. Help her keep a watch over all us as a family!! Gone but not forgotten!

I had to wait for a while before I was able to write a message for my brother. I remember when I was in New Orleans at the age of 16 and a boy pushed me into the deep end of the swimming pool. Needless to say that I couldn't swim! Many efforts were made to get me out, but to no avail. Doug running to my rescue jumped from the 2nd story balcony into the pool, came up under me and pushed me to the top where they pulled me out. I thought my life was over, but God saved me through Doug! No...
