Daryl Prestridge, 61, of Deville, passed from this life on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at his residence, due to medical reasons.

Daryl was born in Rapides Parish on November 1, 1954. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served the Lord for many years. He and his wife became members of Faith Riders Ministry as he was an avid motorcyclist. They traveled not only for recreation with close friends, but they also sought to reach strangers, introduce them to God’s Word, and help those in need.

Cars and motorcycles were his pastimes. Daryl worked for ACA for 42 years and was still actively employed there as Project Manager. He mentored younger co-workers and was a friend to all. He was a member of Local 247 Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Placed above all his hobbies and work was his great love of family. He was a quiet man, but through actions and example he was more than able to express his love for them and be a role model for his sons. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, Paw Paw and friend. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by his father, Atlee Prestridge and a sister, Sharon Prestridge.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 38 years, Janet Craig Prestridge; sons, Derek Wayne Prestridge and wife, Caley, Devin Wade Prestridge and wife, Jessica and Dylan Wesley Prestridge and wife, Samantha; mother, Vera Mae Prestridge; sisters, Donna Prestridge and Karen Prestridge; four grandchildren, Daxton Wayne, Bray Wesson, Bentley Ryan and Jonah Shay Prestridge and a host of other family and friends

Memorials may be made to Faith Riders, Philadelphia Baptist Church, 722 Philadelphia Road, Deville, La 71328.
