Not sure what to say?

Hi, Rohan -- I am thinking of you and your family at this time. Daune was my voice teacher when I was working on my bachelors degree at UNO in the 1970s. I remember when your mother appeared as Kate Pinkerton in the Opera/Omaha production of "Madam Butterfly. You probably don't remember this, but I used to babysit you when your mother went to rehearsals. I'll always remember Daune as a very caring, enthusiastic teacher who always encouraged me to do as much as possible while I was in college....

My deepest sympathy to Rohan and his family. I was privileged to work with Duane at The Temple on the Heights and Trinity Cathedral. A consummate musician whose artistry enriched my life.

Oh Daune. I can't believe you are gone. You were one of my favorite humans, and my most important mentor. When my husband met you, he said he understood why we loved each other so much because we are both "charged particles." You were so kind, so sharp, so fun, and so damn supportive. You were also (obviously) a wonderful voice teacher. I'm so glad our relationship continued long after I graduated. Knowing you fundamentally changed who I am as a person. I am so glad I knew you. And Rohan, I...

Daune was a blessing to know and a wonderful singer. My condolences Rohan. I can still visualize the two of you up in the old choir room at Trinity.

Dear Rohan and Family, My deepest sympathies to you all. I have such fond memories of singing with Daune at Trinity Cathedral. She was a truly talented vocalist and teacher, and a lovely, caring person. May memories of happier times bring you comfort.
